This more secluded beach spot is known among snorkelers and divers for its rich underwater world. Small sea caves, lava arches and plenty of coral lie beneath the surface, host to an abundance of sea life. Roadside parking. No facilities.
Things To Do
- Swimming
- Snorkeling
- Diving
- Beach strolls
Cool Because
One of the last undeveloped coastal stretches in the Wailea/Makena area.
Hazards
Afternoon tradewinds bring strong currents and rip tides, especially around outlying rocks. Seasonal high surf.
Topography
Recessed bay with sloping shoreline and sandy bottom mixed with outlying rocks above and under water.
Not Good For
Facilities. If you'd like to have close access to restrooms, showers and food, this more remote location wouldn’t be your best choice.
