The large black lava rock at Ka`anapali splits the beach in half. Renowned as an excellent snorkeling spot, rich with Hawaiian legends, it's widely known for the abundant marine life and coral that reside there. Limited parking. No facilities..

Hazards

Strong currents. Dangerous waves breaking on rocks, ledges and reefs. Sharp coral and slippery rocks. Seasonal high surf with dangerous waves that can break on rocks.

Topography

This lava rock point forms a large reef wall beside a vast stretch of sandy beach.

Not Good For

Privacy. This well-known snorkel spot fronting several resorts and hotels is not for those looking for seclusion.
